Umm, seriously…best donut ever in the whole wide world and I’m not even kidding.

Had a hankering for some sweet, fried yumminess that, for me, only a donut can deliver. In an effort to be *cool*, I sent a Tweet out to my Austin pals looking for a suggestion downtown. {yes, I know about Yelp!, thanks} Austinites delivered! Gourdough’s was the consensus.

I selected “Miss Shortcake”, partially because everyone on Yelp couldn’t quit gushing about it, but largely because it was raining and I didn’t want to get soggy while reading the menu board.  I would order it again…and again, and again…  Seriously, it was that good!

One thing to know about me; I LOVE Airstream trailers.  Someday soon I will get in one and interview people for my coffee with a stranger blog. So when I pulled up and saw one, it was love at first sight!

This was the perfect inaugural “Something New”.  Every day for a year I am going to do something brand, spanking new.  And you my friends, without actually doing a thing, will serve to keep me accountable.
